Happy Birthday to Me!
Yesterday I turned twenty-two years old. Time is flying by but I can already tell that 22 is going to be an amazing year. Last weekend, I celebrated my birthday with my boyfriend and some friends. On my actual birthday, I spent the evening with my family. I had such a fun couple of weeks and I want to share it with you!
The first trip Kevin, Julia and I took last Saturday was to Lancaster Cupcake. As long as I have gone to Millersville, I have never been to Lancaster Cupcake. I took advantage of my birthday and used it as an excuse to eat one of their delicious cupcakes! I got the classic vanilla one and it was so good! Julia got a salted caramel cupcake and she said that one was delicious as well. I am glad I finally got the opportunity to experience Lancaster Cupcake, and I would recommend it to anyone for a birthday celebration or just a tasty treat!
The next stop on our adventure in Lancaster was to a little pottery painting place that was a couple of stores down from Lancaster Cupcake. One of my favorite things to do is to paint pottery. I find is so fun and relaxing! There were tons of pieces to choose from, but I went for a little monster that I named Gary. Kevin went for a dragon. We both ended up choosing really similar colors to paint with, but trust me, there was a big variety of colors as well!
When we got back from pottery painting, we had to start getting ready to go to Stitches Comedy Club! I am a huge fan of stand up comedy and I have always wanted to go to a comedy club. We saw a comedian named Rich Guzzi, who hypnotizes people in the audience and has them do ridiculous things. It was a hilarious show and I would recommend it to anyone! I wanted to look nice to celebrate my birthday, so I wore this romper from Zaful. I was probably overdressed but I felt fancy and that was what I was going for.
Since I had already celebrated with my friends, I wanted to celebrate my actual birthday with my family. I spent the morning in a middle school classroom that I have been going to through Millersville. Several people there brought in cupcakes to celebrate and it was so sweet! When I got home from teaching, it was time to celebrate with the family (most importantly, my cat)! We ordered pizza from my favorite place in the world (pizza hut) and played games all night. We played Scattergories, Who's Most Likely to, and Quiplash. I had such a great time with my family and I am so glad I decided to come home for my birthday!
My mom's birthday present to me was to pay for me to get my hair done. I went to Union in Shrewsbury. I love that place, everyone in there is awesome at what they do. have been wanting to go shorter and blonder for awhile, and I am so happy with the result! I have been self-dying the ends of my hair blonde for years. It is amazing how much better it looks when it is professionally done! Here are some before and after shots of my new and improved hair! Shout out to my mom for being the best. Thank you mom <3
I had such a great 22nd birthday! I am so thankful for my family, my friends, and my boyfriend for making it an amazing couple of weeks! I hope this post can give you some ideas for how to celebrate your upcoming birthdays!
