The best thing to do when you need to relax is to take a long, hot bath. But, a bath isn't complete without a few extra special additions. Here's a few products and tips that are a MUST when I run myself a bath:
In my mind, the only way you can have the perfect bath is by using either lots and lots of bubble bath, or a bath bomb/fizzer/melt. The bubble bath I used for the first bath is the Love, Mark bubble bath from Avon. Like I've said a million times on my blog, I love Avon's products and I use them religiously. This product smells like candy and it created the most amazing bubbles! In the second bath, I used the Thundersnow bath bomb from Lush. This bath bomb has a really earthy, fresh scent. It actually reminded me of the way it smells when it's snowing outside! When you put it in your bath, the most beautiful greens and blues come out. There was actually popping candy in this bath bomb, but it didn't do much but make some popping noises. I really recommend this bath bomb for a cold winter evening.
The next thing you're going to need for your perfect bath is a face mask! There's nothing better than having fresh skin. Almost every time I take a bath, I take a face mask with me. A bath can be about treating your face, too, not just your body! This particular face mask was just a couple of bucks at walmart, but it did wonders for my skin! My skin gets very dry and irritated in the winter time, and this mask really brightened it and made it feel fresh.
The next item on my Perfect Bath Checklist is a laptop to watch some Netflix or YouTube! It can get pretty boring in the bath despite how nice and relaxing it is. When you're having a particularly busy week, it is really nice to take some time to yourself to catch up on your favorite Netflix shows or YouTube videos. I have even watched an entire movie while soaking in the bath!
The last necessities for the perfect bath are candles, a glass of wine, and some chocolate. You can obviously pick whatever drink and snack combo you like, but the ultimate relaxing snack to me has to be wine and chocolate! I was eating some Ghirardelli milk chocolate brownie squares and drinking some of my favorite moscato. I chose to light some candles that reminded me of winter. Cranberry and vanilla are perfect scents for a winter evening!
These are just a few of my necessities when it comes to taking a bath. I know I will be taking many more baths this winter, and I hope I could help make your me-time a little more relaxing! Thanks for reading! Please like, comment, and share if you enjoyed :)
