For whatever reason, rose gold home and office decor can be ridiculously expensive! The theme for my new bedroom involves some pops of rose gold, so of course, I went out and got myself a can of spray paint! Here are some of the crafts I decided to make to include in my desk decor:
Spray painting thumbtacks and paperclips was such an easy way to create some desk decor. To prepare the thumbtacks to be painted, I put a piece of tape around the pointy part of each tack so that part wouldn't get covered in paint. Once everything was painted, I pulled off the tape and suck them in these really cute glass containers. It definitely adds to the office decor vibe!
This next DIY is a little more complicated, but it is still pretty simple in the grand scheme of things. For this project, you are going to need some straws (four short ones and four long ones), a pair of scissors, some thread, and your choice of spray paint. The first thing I did was cut the straws to size. I ran thread through the four small straws and tied a knot to create the square base. I then thread the four longer straws onto each corner of the square base and tied a knot at the top to form a pyramid. My pyramid was definitely not perfect at this stage, so I used a hot glue gun to smooth out the corners and to straighten out the shape. Once the hot glue is dry, spray paint it and you are done! A cute geometric decor piece that no one will suspect is made of straws!
